Canceling Google Play services isn’t as straight-forward as it should be, so here is guide (with a video, if you prefer to watch along).
To cancel Google Play services such as Google Play music and Google Play app subscription (the one that charges you monthly), its best (easier) to do this on your computer.

Cancel Google Play App or Google Play Music Subscription:
1) Head to Google Play Store.
2) Hover your mouse on the gear on the upper-right (under your name) and click on my account.
3) On the App subscription you want to cancel, click on the 3 dots on the right, if you’re doing this on your phone you’ll need to scroll to the right.
4) Click cancel.
5) Confirm subscription cancellation.
Cancel Google Play Magazine Subscription:
1) Head to Google Play Store.
2) Click on Newsstand.
3) Click on My newsstand.
4) Click on the cancel button of the magazines you want to cancel.
5) Confirm cancellation.
