The best cases for the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G (including a S-Pen Case)

We have tried a lot of Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G cases and we’re finally ready to pick the best of the best. Whether you want something slim, protective, or something for your S-Pen, we have a recommendation for you! Oh yeah, we’ve actually tried all of the cases on our best case list – so if you see one without any actual pictures (stock photos) be weary.

Best Overall Case: Urban Armor Gear

I am currently using the UAG Plasma Case for my Galaxy S21 Ultra. The case is protective without being excessively thick or heavy. I find that the UAG Plasma Case (left on the video thumbnail below) is easier to grip than the boxier UAG Civilian Series. While its a bit on the expensive side at $40, its not too bad to protect your $1199 smartphone. I personally like the UAG Plasma Case to show off my Phantom Silver S21 Ultra, I ended up buying another color (Ice – basically clear), vs. the Smoke color shown in the video below.

Best S-Pen Case: Spigen SPen Case

If you are looking for a SPen Case for your S21 Ultra and S21 Ultra SPen, look no further than the Spigen Case! Not only is it the cheapest SPen Case around at $20 – it also happens to be the best! I found that the Samsung Silicone Case was just too thick and unmanageable. The S-View Flip Cover is not only expensive, but made the S-Pen harder to access. Enough about those cases, the Spigen Case is slim, manageable and the SPen feels more secure than the other options. Note that it only works with the S21 Ultra SPen.

Best Slim Case: Pitaka Air Case

There are a lot of cheap cases out there, but they aren’t as slim and as protective as this Pitaka Air Case. This case is crazy thin at 0.65 mm and weighs 10g, but it is not a flimsy case – check out the video. At $60, this isn’t for everyone, but if you want the slimmest case out there that will give the most amount of protection – check them out.

Best Samsung Case: Leather Back Cover by Samsung

To be honest, I’m not the biggest fan of leather cases, but Samsung has converted me with their Leather Back Cover. This case is in the rotation along with the UAG and the Spigen SPen Case. Its easy to hold, hasn’t stained (yet) and I love the two tone of the brown leather and the bronze cover for the camera hump.

The Case to Avoid: S-View Flip Cover with SPen

At $90 this is the most expensive case on this list, but it does have one thing going for it – for $90 you get the S-View Flip Cover AND the S21 Ultra SPen – depending where you live the SPen is hard to come by. While it includes the SPen, the rest of the case is ok. The case doesn’t have a magnet so the flip cover stays in place. You have to almost fully open the Flip Cover to remove the SPen, so good luck if you’re right handed as the SPen is in the left side of the case. If you still want to check it out – link below.
